A Note From Our Founder
Before the baseball season gets underway, I wanted to give you all an update on what we’ve been up to the past few months.
The highlight of my offseason was marrying Amanda on New Year’s Eve as we rang in the New Year with our closest friends and family. Our honeymoon was pretty amazing too.
Afterwards, I got right back into training and preparing for the season ahead. It’s been a year since my j-pouch surgery, I’ve put on 40 lbs and I feel stronger than I ever have before!
Last but not least, we’ve been making big plans for the Gut It Out Foundation. We’ve developed programs and new online content to pursue our mission to educate, connect and inspire the IBD community. One new feature on our website will include monthly blog posts which will feature various influencers in the IBD community – stay tuned for my blog post later this month!
I plan to continue hosting meet and greets across the country while I’m on the road, which I like to think of as my “traveling support group.” I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet more inspiring kids that ‘gut it out’!
Thanks for your ongoing support – I look forward to growing the Gut It Out community this season!
Sincerely,
Jake Diekman
